It’s official: Americans who are logging onto the Web are hipper, younger, more educated and have more money than people for whom the Net might still mean a prop for a fishing exhibition. That’s the conclusion reported today in a Web-consumer study jointly produced by Yahoo! Internet Life and Roper Starch Worldwide.

The study also found that people who have used the Internet for at least 30 days tend to be more upbeat, active and in better physical shape than their offline counterparts.
