Yahoo! CMO to Depart

NEW YORK Yahoo! CMO Cammie Dunaway is leaving the company, a Yahoo! representative said.

Yahoo! did not say where Dunaway was going and she could not be reached for comment. Her last day will be Nov. 2.

Yahoo! rep Adam Grossberg said Allen Olivo, vp, global brand marketing for Yahoo!, would take Dunaway’s place in the meantime. Grossberg declined to comment further, but passed on this company statement:

“Since joining Yahoo! in 2003, Cammie has built an award-winning direct marketing team; improved the company’s customer insights; and found creative ways to improve our brand. Cammie has strengthened the marketing function and built a strong bench of creative talent. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors and thank her for her leadership, dedication and all that she has contributed to Yahoo!.”

Dunaway joined Yahoo! after spending 13 years at Frito-Lay, where she was credited with developing the “Bold and daring” campaign for Doritos in 2001. After that, Dunaway held the title of vp, general manager of kids and teen brands.
