NEW YORK WPP Group’s Wunderman has hired Kass Sells to oversee its Microsoft business. Sells had been with DraftFCB West.

Sells, 45, takes the title of managing director, global client lead on Microsoft, Wunderman’s second-largest client by revenue after Ford. He’ll be based in Seattle and report to worldwide chief operating officer David Sable.

The position is new. Previously, the New York-based Sable oversaw Microsoft, albeit from his broader role. Sable will continue to be a key contact for the Seattle-based client, as Sells assumes day-to-day management duties, an agency representative said.
