Kinetic, WPP’s out-of-home media unit, announced Tuesday (April 7) it is moving its base to the United States. As part of the restructuring, Steve Ridley was promoted to global chief operating officer, based in the U.S.

Most recently chief executive officer for the Americas, Ridley is credited with building Kinetic’s market position with six offices and billings exceeding $1.3 billion. Among the recent wins was MillerCoors, which named Kinetic its out of home agency of record.
