NEW YORK — WPP has acquired Berlin Cameron & Partners, the London-based holding company said today. The New York agency will be the hub of the Red Cell agency network, as expected [Adweek, Dec. 3]. Andy Berlin, chairman of Berlin Cameron, will become co-chief executive and chief creative officer of Red Cell. Lee Daley, previously evp, chief strategy officer of McCann Erickson in Europe, has been named co-chief executive and chief strategy officer of Red Cell. Ewen Cameron, Berlin Cameron CEO, will run Berlin Cameron in the U.S.Berlin Cameron claims billings of $265 million. Clients include Coca-Cola, the NBA, Ralston Purina and Reebok. Red Cell was founded this January and includes agencies such as Cole & Weber in Seattle and Conquest in London. Clients include Alfa Romeo and Singapore Airlines.
