WPP has agreed to acquire The Glover Park Group, a Washington, D.C., strategic communications and government relations firm.

Glover Park was founded in 2001 by Democrats Carter Eskew, Joe Lockhart, Mike Feldman, and Chip Smith. (In July, Lockhart, who was the White House press secretary during Bill Clinton’s second presidential term, joined Facebook as vp, global communications.) The firm is now bipartisan in its leadership with former officials from the U.S. House and Senate and the Obama, Bush, and Clinton administrations and electoral campaigns.
