Wirestone Spreads Beam Holiday Cheer

CHICAGO Wirestone here has created the first global holiday Web site for Jim Beam Brands, according to Paul Marobella, the agency’s managing director.

The site, www.jimbeam.com/holiday07, takes a humorous approach to the holidays. It features the “Labelizer,” which allows users to upload photos of themselves which, in turn, can be fashioned into Beam-style labels. The labels can be printed and placed on bottles of Beam, which can then be given as holiday gifts to friends.

The site also lets visitors design eCards, send “drink vouchers” to friends and pose questions to Fred Noe, a 7th generation Beam family distiller and brand ambassador. On the site, Fred is dressed like an elf.

Ross Freedman, producer/writer, led the agency’s creative team in developing the site.

Wirestone is an independent marketing solutions company. Other clients include Apple, HP, Oakley and Nike. The shop employs 185 staffers in seven U.S. offices.
