Pierce-Cote Advertising’s campaign to boost Cape Cod tourism during the off-season led to victory in a recent Chamber of Commerce agency review, said the shop’s president, Rebecca Pierce.
The agency, based in Osterville, Mass., defeated Fleming & Roskelly of Newport, R.I., which won the account three years ago, the first off-Cape shop to do so. Pierce-Cote was a finalist in that review.
Pierce-Cote creative director Stuart Cooperrider and art director Trish Hart created the winning campaign, which featured billboards and print ads with the tagline, “Cape Cod in winter. It’s all yours.”
The agency plans to use that campaign next year. Meanwhile, the spring campaign that breaks in April with TV, print and radio ads in the Boston market was created by Fleming & Roskelly.
Pierce-Cote will keep the current logo, but come up with a new look and style for its first project: developing a fall campaign, Pierce said.
Spending has not been set. The campaign will most likely include TV, print and radio.
The 10-member shop has worked with hotels on Cape Cod and has been Plimoth Plantation’s agency of record for
seven years, she said.
