CHICAGO-Executive changes and mergers continue to reshape the landscape of the Louisville agency community.
At Sheehy & Associates, John H. Willie has been named chief executive officer and designated successor to chairman Bill Sheehy, who plans to retire in the next several years.
Willie previously was a managing partner, senior vice president and account group director at the Chicago agency Grant/Jacoby. He brings experience in agency management and with national retailing clients, said Sheehy.
Retired Grant/Jacoby chairman Bruce Carlson recommended Willie as a candidate for a top management spot. Sheehy had already chosen the agency’s “succession team” of four executives: creative director Dave Carter; broadcast producer Sam Dodson; account services director Scott Kuhn; and account group director Paul Owen Jr. The four will report to Willie, Sheehy said, and continue to help determine the agency’s growth strategy as they prepare for eventual control of the shop.
Sheehy & Associates is projecting billings this year of $25 million from clients that include Arby’s co-ops, Kroger and Kentucky Utilities Co.
Across town, it was announced that FSM Marketing Communications is absorbing 4Front Advertising.
The expanded FSM agency will have billings of approximately $14 million from clients that include the West Virginia Lottery business, which 4Front had been awarded in 1995.
The merger follows the acquisition this summer of creative boutique Lippy/Mapowther/Power Advertising by $17 million agency Halbleib/Beggs.
