The Wieden + Kennedy parade continues.
The agency, already carrying top honors from the Andy and Webby competitions, picked up two black cubes at the Art Directors Club awards Tuesday evening. Its Amsterdam branch won best in show in the advertising category for Nike’s "Write the Future" spot and its Portland, Ore., headquarters claimed best in show for interactive with its Old Spice "Response" campaign.
The agency is the first to win two black cubes, a new prize the ADC introduced three years ago. TBWA earned one in 2010, and none were awarded in 2009.
The ADC also dubbed Wieden + Kennedy agency of the year for its cumulative wins of gold, silver, and bronze prizes for the year, all announced last month. Y&R earned top network, BBH New York was named top interactive shop, and The New York Times Magazine was recognized as the best design team.
The top agency gold winners were Y&R with three, and @radical.media, BBH New York, and Masashi+Qanta+Saqoosha+Hiroki New York with two each.
