Where The Jobs Are

After showing some life earlier in the year, the market for jobs in advertising, marketing and media has flatlined once again. Judging by the volume of help-wanted classified ads in Adweek, the past several months have been particularly poor, dragging the national year-to-date total into double digits on the negative side. Of course, summer tends to a lackluster hiring season in any case. But the momentum is all in the wrong direction as we head into autumn.
