It could have been worse. Judging by the volume of help-wanted classifieds in Adweek, the market for jobs in advertising, media and marketing was dismal in the first half of the year. But there were signs of life in the second half, with three of the six U.S. regions ending up on the plus side for 2003. Keep in mind, though, that the market fell so steeply for so long that it will take significant growth to make a dent in the losses.
