As consumers economize, their cutbacks are falling into two distinct categories: Spending they miss and spending they don’t miss (much, anyway). In a Frank About Women poll conducted last month, coffee topped the list of things the female respondents miss the least, with 61 percent putting it in that class. Close behind were alcoholic drinks (59 percent), furniture and home decor (58 percent) and electronics (55 percent).
What do women miss most? Spending on travel/vacations (46 percent), clothing, jewelry and accessories (45 percent) and entertainment events (40 percent).
