WestWayne Places First for the Worst Of Stormy Weather

WestWayne has wona creative assignment from The Weather Channel.

The independent shop was selected over four other Atlanta agencies—Bad Design, Cole Henderson Drake, Huey/Paprocki and Match—and undisclosed New York contenders, according to sources.

WestWayne will develop a print and outdoor campaign supporting the cable channel’s new show, Storm Stories. Media spending will total $1.5 million.

Advertising, to launch in January, features images of storm coverage culled from the Atlanta client’s archives. The tagline: “The worst of nature. The best of man.”

Bus shelter displays will appear in Chicago and New York. Print ads will run in The New York Times Magazine.
