This week, the Adweek staff is highlighting must-have items including a briefcase featuring a built-in scooter, mittens with a hidden flask, and a wallet with Bluetooth. Take a look!
A couple of years ago, eBay alum Christina Mercando was getting fed up with always missing texts and calls because her phone was in her handbag. So she created Ringly, a new Bluetooth-connected device that buzzes and lights up when its owner receives a smartphone notification. The Ringly app allows users to set the frequency of alerts and even customize them (for instance, a specific vibration pattern can be triggered whenever the babysitter calls). Best of all, unlike some other "wearables," the Ringly is attractive (and unobtrusive) enough that you'll actually want to wear it. As Mercando explains on the company's blog, "You'll notice it, but no one else should."
