Weber, Sawyer Share Milwaukee Hospital

BOSTON Interpublic Group public relations shop Weber Shandwick and its advertising unit Sawyer Miller have been tapped by Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.

The agencies will team on an image campaign which will include print, direct mail, online and PR duties.

“We were looking for a firm to evolve our marketing strategies in our local, regional and national markets,” said Kathy DeVries, vice president of marketing for Froedtert Hospital, in a statement. “Sawyer Miller and Weber Shandwick have the type of experience and knowledge base to advance our brand positioning.”

“Our point of view on the hospital is it’s like a mini Mayo Clinic,” said Jim Yardley, senior vice president, general manager of Sawyer Miller in Chicago. “Our primary task is to come up with the master brand for the hospital’s future.”

The IPG shops won the business following a review of undisclosed agencies. Sawyer Miller and Weber Shandwick collaborate on a range of accounts including Colombian Coffee, Egyptian Cotton and Bristol-Myers.
