WBON Hires From APL

Liz Paley today joins Warwick Baker O’Neill as group account director and director of business development.
Paley reports to Bill Mulligan, director of client services.
Paley, 33, formerly director of business development at Ammirati Puris Lintas, New York, will head new business efforts and the accounts of clients Fruit of the Loom, Bausch & Lomb and Best Foods.
“Her resume has extraordinary balance,” said Warwick’s president and chief creative officer Kevin O’Neill. “She has deep experience in categories that are important to us.”
Paley’s hiring will ease the burden on Mulligan, who assumed double duties at Warwick with the 1997 departure of Paul Levine, now a partner at Mad Dogs & Englishmen.
During her three years at APL, Paley helped land the $100 million Ameritech account. She also helped win the $140 million Iridium account and General Motors’ GMC business. Paley, who reported to global new business director Alyson Henning, was No. 2 in APL’s new business group, handling all U.S. reviews.
Before joining APL in 1996, Paley spent eight years at Grey Advertising in New York where she was account executive on Dannon and Kraft’s Post cereal division.
Mulligan said, Paley’s “track record will fuel positive momentum as we accelerate our business in healthcare, fashion and technology.”
Paley called her new colleagues “a smart, dynamic group” and said she was eager to work for a smaller agency where she could have a greater impact. –with Justin Dini
