Warner Bros. Elevates Nelson

Diane Nelson has risen to executive vice president of domestic marketing for Warner Bros. Pictures. Previously, Nelson was senior vice president of domestic marketing, a position she assumed in February 2002 after serving in a variety of marketing positions at the Burbank, Calif., studio. Nelson works with Dawn Taubin, president of domestic marketing for Warner Bros. Pictures, to develop and manage marketing campaigns for the studio’s feature films, with an emphasis on cross-studio marketing activities. She also oversees the management of the Harry Potter franchise and represents the studio’s interests with J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter books. Nelson’s new duties include the direct reporting of administration, domestic marketing research, targeted marketing, The Idea Place, strategic communications, domestic marketing services and national promotions.
