DALLAS Vollmer Public Relations has won the Public Relations Society of America’s 2005 Silver Anvil Award and Silver Anvil Award of Excellence, the shop said.

The Dallas agency received the Silver Anvil Award for Travelocity’s “Extreme Makeover” campaign. The effort combined public relations and marketing communications tactics that supported a new Web site and positioning to reconnect Travelocity with its current customers.

In addition, Vollmer was honored with PRSA’s Silver Anvil Award of Excellence for “The Roaming Gnome: The New Face of Travelocity” campaign.
