Vivendi Universal Seeks PR Agency

BOSTON Vivendi Univeral has launched a search for a public relations agency to handle its corporate identity duties.

A representative of Vivendi Universal’s office in New York confirmed the review but declined to disclose details.

Requests for proposals were issued last week to an undetermined number of New York-based PR shops, sources said. There is no incumbent on the business.

The work includes broad national publicity chores; it is unclear if any international duties are involved.

The budget is $1-2 million, sources said. A decision is expected this month.

Vivendi, a global media and telecommunications company based in Paris, has film, music, television and interactive game divisions. Subsidiaries include Universal Music Group and Vivendi Universal Games, among others.
