SAN FRANCISCO–Visa has selected AKQA, San Francisco, to handle its $12 to 15 million digital account. Other finalists in the review were San Francisco-based Organic and Norwalk, Conn.-based Modem Media. The account was previously handled by BBDO?s @atmosphere, New York and the now bankrupt marchFirst, San Francisco.

“This was a mainstay piece of business for marchFirst,” said Matt Haligman, joint chief creative officer at AKQA. Winning the account “is the first encouraging sign we?ve see in a while,” he added.
