Siddall, Matus & Coughter in Richmond, Va., retained the Virginia Department of Transportation account following a state government-mandated review.
The new one-year contract, renewable for four additional years, has a budget of $540,000.
SM&C bested Virginia shops Laughlin, Marinaccio & Owens in Arlington and Hambright, Calcagno & Downing in Virginia Beach.
The shop will develop a marketing program for the opening of new HOV lanes on the Dulles Toll Road and create a public information campaign for the reconstruction of the Interstate 95-Springfield Interchange.
The “enviro-transportation” in-dustry accounts for about 30 percent of SM&C’s business, said agency president John Martin.
