Starcom MediaVest Group and Microsoft brought the TED conference to the Cannes Lions festival this year. Speakers at the invite-only event included Stefan Sagmeister, graphic designer and author of The Things I Have Learned in My Life So Far; Nicholas Christakis, author of Connected; Hans Rosling, co-founder of Doctors without Borders; Naveen Selvadurai, founder of Foursquare; Clay Shirky, author of Here Comes Everybody; and Gary Wolfe, contributing editor at Wired. They discussed topics such as "How do ideas spread" and "What it means to be local." Sagmeister took a break after rehearsal and spoke with Adweek's Eleftheria Parpis about his happiness project and why breaks are the best thing for creative minds. Video after the jump.
