TargetCast, the independent New York shop, has won media planning and buying duties for moving company UniGroup Inc., the client has confirmed.
UniGroup’s subsidiaries include United Van Lines and Mayflower. The assignment excludes online chores. Annual spending on the brand is approximately $5 million.
The award came after a review. The incumbent was G2, a unit of WPP Group’s Grey, which did not defend. Other contenders in the review were not disclosed.
“TargetCast showed a great understanding of our business, the challenges we face, and how to reach our target customers,” said Jason Mills, UniGroup’s director of strategic marketing and brand management. “We’re thrilled to call them our partners.”
The client is based in St. Louis.
