Interpublic Group’s Universal McCann has hired George Pace as the head of international clients, a newly created position, the agency has confirmed.

Pace, who reports to UM global CEO Matt Seiler, will manage multi-regional clients not based in the U.S., such as BMW and Cathay Pacific Airways. In addition, he will work with managing partners to help guide U.S.-based multiregional accounts (such as Microsoft and Exxon) in international markets.

Prior to joining UM, Pace, who will split his time between New York and London, was a digital media consultant.
