Trion Enlists Creative Chief

BOSTON Trion Communica-
tions said it has hired Anthony Butler as creative director of its advertising division.

Butler, 43, has held senior creative posts at shops such as Digitas (where he was a vp, creative director) OgilvyOne and CKS Partners.

Most recently, Butler worked with Boston agency Partners + Simons on several new business initiatives. He also acts as a consultant for several Boston-based businesses serving minority communities and urban consumers.

At Trion, he succeeds David Gallone, who has left the agency.

“I have always preferred the entrepreneurial, non-political atmosphere of small and medium sized shops,” Butler said. “Nothing stands in the way of understanding our client’s business and developing the most appropriate creative solution for their marketing challenges.”

“We couldn’t be happier to have Anthony join our team. His vast experience and knowledge will play an integral role in moving the agency forward,” said Alan Casucci, Trion managing director.

Independently owned Trion in Providence, R.I., is currently working with a number of clients in the food industry including Brigham’s Ice Cream on the relaunch of the Elan frozen yogurt brand. The shop has about 20 employees.
