Tribal DDB Elevates Gunning to Chicago GM

NEW YORK Tribal DDB Worldwide has promoted managing director Paul Gunning to general manager of the interactive shop’s Chicago office.

In his new post, Gunning assumes strategic and operational responsibility over the estimated 50-person outpost.

The spot had been vacant since the previous general manager Jim Lecinski became a senior vice president, group account director at Tribal DDB parent, Omnicom Group’s DDB, about a year ago. Up until this week, he had maintained oversight over the digital operation.

“I’m proud to take on this leadership position and help our blue-chip clients further embrace the digital age to drive business results,” said Gunning, who will report to Tribal DDB North America chief executive Matt Freeman.

Gunning has played a large role in growing the office, which services clients like McDonald’s, Gatorade and Quaker, among others, said Freeman.
