The J.J. Abrams/Steven Spielberg sci-fi movie Super 8 will the clearly identified object flying into theaters this weekend. The film, starring Joel Courtney, Elle Fanning, AJ Michalka and Kyle Chandler, features a group of teenagers in Ohio who witness a train crash while making a movie with a Super 8 camera. The investigation into the crash doesn't lead anywhere good. The movie will surely claim the top spot at the box office this weekend—battling it out with the previously released X-Men: First Class, The Hangover Part II, Kung Fu Panda 2 and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

The other movie opening in wide release this weekend is Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer, a comedy starring Heather Graham and based on Megan McDonald's Judy Moody book series.
