Toyota Dealers’ Group Mulls 4

NEW YORK The Greater New York Toyota Dealers Association has named four finalists in the review for the creative portion of its $80 million account, sources said.

Contending are Publicis Groupe’s Saatchi & Saatchi, the incumbent; Grey Global Group’s Grey; Interpublic Group’s Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos; and Wolf Integrated Communciations’ Wolf Group, all in New York.

Three New York shops did not advance: Omnicom’s DDB; and independents DeVito/Verdi and Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners.

The agencies either declined comment or could not be reached.

A decision is due in August.

Media chores for the client in Englewood Cliffs, N.J., remain with Saatchi sister agency Zenith Media in New York. Consultancy Roth Associates in New York is overseeing the process.
