Top Post for Cox at Dye, Van Mol

Dye, Van Mol & Lawrence has named Jeff Cox president and chief operating officer, both new positions.
The appointment comes as the Nashville, Tenn., agency seeks to strengthen its evolution from a public relations shop to a full-service, integrated marketing company.
Cox, 41, was previously president of The Anderson Communications Group in Charlotte, N.C., where he resigned last August. A 20-year advertising veteran, Cox will manage daily operations at the $12 million firm, with emphasis on developing its strategic planning and relationship marketing disciplines.
“Jeff brings a fresh perspective to Dye, Van Mol, one that’s a lot broader than the traditional public relations emphasis,” said Hank Dye, chairman and chief executive officer.
Cox said he has been working with the agency “under the radar” since the fourth quarter of last year, “helping sort out some of the operational issues of the company.”
Cox said he would spearhead efforts to expand the agency’s interactive, advertising and direct marketing assignments. “Integrated communications companies are the future,” he said.
Previous to his tenure at Anderson, Cox was a senior vice president and director of account service at Price/McNabb in Charlotte and vice president and account supervisor at Ogilvy & Mather in Chicago. K
