TM Launches Promo

DALLAS A seasonal Verizon promotion designed by TM Advertising rewards users for conducting searches, writing user reviews, referring friends to the site, printing coupons and downloading the site’s toolbar, the agency said.

Print, radio and online advertising support the promotion that will run through Jan. 1, with campaign spending estimated at $4 million, the client said.

The promotion gives users weekly chances to win cash and prizes. On Jan. 6, the grand prize winner will be selected and can choose $25,000 in cash or a combination of special relaxation rewards such as a beach vacation, a personal chef for a week, carpet cleaning, maid service for a year or a one-year gym membership. will also give away $500 weekly to 25 users.

Online ads will run on Web sites including American Greetings, AOL, Daily Candy, Discovery, E! Online, IBS, IMDB, Integrent, MSN Remnant, MSN Targeted, Real/Rolling Stone, Scripps’ FoodTV, HGTV and DIY, The Onion, Weather and WeatherBug.

“ has helped people with holiday planning and shopping for more than 10 years,” said James Hering, director of integrated marketing at TM. “The new holiday promotion rewards consumers with sweepstakes entries, while they find services and products to make the holiday season complete.”

Verizon Information Services, a division of Verizon Communications, has $3.6 billion in revenue from products including Verizon Yellow Pages print directories, Verizon ( and other services.
