BOSTON-Recognizing her part in helping Carat Freeman move from high-technology to consumer-oriented accounts, the Newton, Mass.-based media specialist has promoted Kate Thurston to senior vice president and managing director.
She becomes one of three managing directors reporting to president and founder Ellen Freeman, whose agency boasts billings of $225 million through its Newton and San Francisco offices.
Thurston, who joined Carat Freeman in 1995, has managed the America Online account and helped launch an Internet-based campaign for Gillette.
