A hundred years is a long time for a brand to keep the same packaging, but when that packaging happens to be Cola-Cola's signature glass bottle (introduced a century ago this November), it's hard to imagine America without it.

Actually, make that the world. The fluted, curvaceous bottle has become the muse for a century's worth of global advertising for Coke like the ad above, from 1943. In connection with its centennial, Coke has released Kiss the Past Hello, a coffee-table book with French publisher Assouline showcasing some of its best commercial artwork from generations past.
