LOS ANGELES – Thrifty Drug Stores said it has cut the list of advertising agencies participating in a review for its $15-million account from seven to three. The finalists are: Asher/Gould and Cohen/Johnson, both L.A., and Heil/Brice, San Clemente, Calif. Thrifty executives will issue an assignment to the agencies this week, with a decision expected by the end of this month. Agencies that made oral presentations but are no longer in the running include incumbent Basso & Associates/Newport Beach, Calif.;
