Temerlin McClain Hires Group CD

Former Doner executive Scott Rasmussen has joined Temerlin McClain as group creative director, becoming the second executive to hold that post.
Rasmussen, 42, will oversee creative on the GTE, Adams Golf and Bell Helicopter accounts at the Irving, Texas, shop, the largest agency in the Southwest. The other group creative director is Bill Oakley, who works on American Airlines, Nortel, Bally’s and the Paris Las Vegas hotel/casino.
Rasmussen was previously evp and creative director of Doner in Baltimore. His client list there included Sylvan Learning Center, ADT, Bally Total Fitness, Bell Atlantic, Prudential Healthcare, Coverna Life Insurance and Mobil.
In addition to supervising the creative department at Doner, Rasmussen also steered creative at
Doner Direct, the agency’s direct marketing division. His move in 1998 from working solely at Doner Direct to handling creative both there and at the parent shop coincided with Doner’s reorganization as a “brand-response” agency with a direct-marketing focus.
In 1996, he was svp and creative director at Doner when it spun off Doner Direct, and was soon promoted to his most recent post there.

Temerlin McClain ranks first in the Southwest with $78 million in revenue in 1999, per Adweek’s Top 50 ranking [Adweek, April 24].
