NEW YORK Independent media shop TargetCast:tcm here has named creative agency veteran John Garment to the new position of vp, director of marketing. 

Garment joins TargetCast from Omnicom-owned DDB, where he had been director of global knowledge management. Prior to that, he was at IPG’s Lowe in Tokyo as svp, international client director.

His client credentials from his tenures at DDB, Lowe (and earlier, Bozell) include Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, Volkswagen, PepsiCo, Evian, Mobil, Pfizer, Seagram, Michelin, the Family Channel and Amtrak.

“John brings strong strategic skills and experience in business development which will be invaluable in the growth of both our agency and our clients’ businesses,” said TargetCast CEO Steve Farella.
