Tanqueray Is Ready for the Holidays

NEW YORK Tanqueray celebrates the holidays with a new campaign via Grey featuring downloadable music.

The New York shop created a 30-second television spot showing a party in a tent in the snowy Arctic. A man plays “Deck the Halls” by running his finger around the rims of various martini glasses set up as a “glass harp.”

“Now there’s an instrument I’d like to pick up,” says the character Tony Sinclair. “Right now.”

The spot ends with the character saying the tagline, “Ready to Tanqueray?”

An online component offers a remixed version of “Deck the Halls” that is available for download, along with five other holiday tunes.

“We focused on the music because it instantly cued ‘holiday’ ” said Tanqueray account director Christine Parrino. “The campaign continues to build a hip, cool vibe for the brand.”

Ben Mor of Smuggler directed the spot, which broke on Monday. Glenn Porter was creative director, and Fred Liedtke and Conor Sheridan were art director and copywriter, respectively. Tim Mellors is chief creative director of Grey.
