Tom Breedlove, one of three partners in T3 (The Think Tank), has left to form Breedlove + Partners.

Breedlove, who joined T3 in 1997 as director of account services, sold his ownership interest in the Austin, Texas, agency to founder and president Gay Warren Gaddis and creative director Jay Suhr for an undisclosed sum.

T3 is the eighth-largest privately held agency in the Southwest.

“It really was very amicable,” said Breedlove of the split. “After 17 years in the business at The Richards Group, GSD&M and T3, it was time to go create something on my own.”

Gaddis said she had no comment on Breedlove’s departure, but did add, “We wish him well.”

In line with several “virtual” agencies that have been established in Texas recently—including Van Slyke & Company in Austin and Arsenal in Dallas—B+P will rely on freelance talent.

“Our focus is on making world-class creative affordable,” Breedlove said.
