Sure, elsewhere in the survey, 48 percent of image makers said confidently, “I am a spiritual person.” That apparently isn’t at odds, however, with telling the occasional lie. Some 53 percent said they would do so “to protect someone else, so long as it was a ‘white lie’ “; 5 percent said they would bend the truth “to secure a promotion”; and 3 percent said they would lie “to take credit for a success.” This may be because they feel the deck is stacked against them.
