Gas Station TV, operators of a digital video network at 1,000 gas pumps in 100 markets, is expanding its distribution through a deal with Sunoco. Following a two-year pilot, Sunoco has agreed to roll out GSTV to an undisclosed number of its 4,700 locations, GSTV announced this week.
GSTV is currently installed at more than 100 Sunoco stations in markets including New York; Philadelphia; Washington, D.C.; Tampa, Fla.; and Pittsburgh. In the next several months, GSTV will install its digital video net at additional Sunoco locations.
“Our objective was to create a brand building platform for Sunoco and an entertaining TV experience for consumers,” said David Leider, CEO of GSTV.
The network reaches 30 million monthly viewers, per Nielsen, via four to five minutes of advertising and content from providers such as NBC, ESPN and local weather from AccuWeather.
