Gateway awarded its $150 million media account to Starcom MediaVest Group unit StarLink without a review. In addition to traditional media planning and buying, the assignment includes direct and multicultural media, which Halogen Direct and StarLink y Mas will handle. Awarding the business to StarLink avoided a conflict with Starcom USA, which handles Sun Microsystems, sources said. Gateway last month tapped StarLink’s Publicis Groupe sibling Leo Burnett in Chicago to handle creative.
