At a presentation ceremony dominated by overseas work, the Dallas shop received the public service announcement category’s best of show, one of five grand awards, for “Dad.” The PSA, for client Nelson-Tebedo Clinito, promotes condom usage.
Two Atlanta agencies, J. Walter Thompson and Fitzgerald & Co., were recognized with gold medals for cinematography and copywriting, respectively. JWT’s spot for Slazenger, “As Good as It Gets,” and Fitzgerald’s “Doctor” for the Television Bureau of Advertising were the recipients.
