Southeast Addy Awards Roundup

Agencies across the Southeast are celebrating recent Addy triumphs.

Young & Rubicam led the numbers at the Ad Fed of Greater Miami’s 40th presentation. Y&R snagged 17 gold and 27 silvers in both English and non-English categories for work on Texaco, Amnesty International and Sports Ya.com.

Two best of shows in non-English went to del Rivero Messianu for its Volkswagen and the Florida Anti-Tobacco campaigns. Best of show in broadcast (English) went to Creative on Demand for Dish Network. Willman & Co. in Jacksonville, Fla., won silvers for its 2000 holiday card and a brochure for The Perdue Cos.

Trone Advertising received seven awards at the third district show in Greensboro, N.C., including best of show print for VisionHR. Howard, Merrell & Partners won 13 Addys and best of shows in print and broadcast.

Anderson Communications Group of Hilton Head, S.C., dominated the Savannah (Ga.) Advertising Federation’s competition with a best in show, 13 Addys and 45 citations of excellence.

Maris, West & Baker took six out of seven of the top awards presented by the Jackson (Miss.) Advertising Federation.
