Robbins Bros., a Southern California jeweler whose radio spots have been ubiquitous in the region for years, last week launched its first TV effort with spots from independent Surf City Advertising in Huntington Beach, Calif. The commercials, like the agency’s radio work, includes the retailer’s owners, Skip and Steve Robbins, but focuses on couples getting the right ring from the Glendale, Calif.-based chain. Spending was not disclosed: the chain spent $1 million on ads last year, according to TNS Media Intelligence/CMR.
