SicolaMartin Makes Management Moves

BOSTON Tom Sicola, a founding principal and CEO of SicolaMartin in Austin, Texas, has shifted the president’s title to co-founder Steve Martin, who now assumes day-to-day management chores.

Martin had been svp, ecd; he and Sicola founded the company in 1985.

In addition, SicolaMartin has promoted Cherie Cox and Diane McKinnon to svp, managing partners. The former continues to head client services, while the latter continues to oversee integrated marketing and creative services.

“These two remarkable women are helping shape the future of SicolaMartin. Tom and I are so proud of all they’ve done, and in their new roles there’s no limit to what we know they can accomplish,” Martin said.

The 54-person shop is a unit of WPP Group’s Young & Rubicam Brands and works mainly for technology clients such as AMD, Blu-ray and Sybase. SicolaMartin also maintains an office in San Francisco.

The agency posted approximately $14 million in revenue on about $90 million in overall billings in 2005, the last year for which figures were available. That performance represented a 15 percent improvement over the previous year.
