Shreve Looks at 3 Finalists

BOSTON High-end jewelry retailer Shreve, Crump & Low will hear presentations from three finalists in a review of its ad account, according to Pile and Co., the consulting company overseeing the process.

Remaining in contention are Avrett Free Ginsberg of New York, and two Boston shops: Connelly Partners and ISM. AFG is a unit of the Interpublic Group; the other shops are independently owned.

Out of contention are: Agency212 and M&C Saatchi, both in New York, and Wallwork Curry McKenna in Boston.

A decision is scheduled for June, according to a Pile representative.

The client spent $2 million on ads in 2004, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

The incumbent, Peaks Island Marketing Group in Brookline, Mass., is not participating.

Recent print work has featured merchandise shots and used the tagline “Two floors. And who knows how many stories.”

Shreve was founded in Boston in 1796 and bills itself as the nation’s oldest luxury jeweler.

The winner will also craft ads for Shreve’s Schwarzschild Jewelers store in Richmond, Va.
