Sheraton Hotels & Resorts teamed up with beverage giant Coca-Cola to bottle up a little love this holiday season for the lonely workers on the road.
Sheraton, a part of the larger Marriott network, will allow family members and friends of frequent guests to send a letter in an eight-ounce Coca-Cola glass bottle to their traveling loved ones from Nov. 9 to Nov. 17. A video from the campaign shows Bob—”Mr. Happy,” someone who essentially lives at a Sheraton hotel four and a half days a week while traveling for work—receives one of these messages from his wife in a personalized Coca-Cola bottle.
Bob was touched by the sentimental gift—and Sheraton hopes all of its guests who receive letters will react the same way.
“We all know that business travel can be tough on families and loved ones,” said Indy Adenaw, Sheraton vp and global brand manager. “As a brand, we are committed to going above and beyond for our guests to make them comfortable and at home, and we feel this exciting program allows us to do something extra special for business travelers this holiday season.”
The agency behind the campaign is San Francisco-based Venables Bell & Partners, Adweek’s 2016 Breakthrough Agency of the Year. The indie shop may be best known for its work with Audi and REI, specifically the latter’s #OptOutside Black Friday campaign.
