Seisint Assigns Product Intro to Starmark

ATLANTA Starmark International has been hired by Seisint to launch the company’s newest product, an online employee- and tenant-screening system that provides credit and criminal background checks, the agency said.

The independent Fort Lauderdale, Fla., agency was assigned the account without a review. Billings were not disclosed, but industry sources expect the company to spend at least $1 million this year advertising the new service. Seisint has not advertised since 2001, when it spent $200,000, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

The company, which is based in Boca Raton, Fla., and has offices in Orlando, Fla., Reston, Va., and London, currently is being acquired for $775 million by Reed Elsevier, which plans to make Seisint part of its Lexis Nexis division.

Starmark plans to launch print advertising in the human resources and real estate management trade press when the acquisition is completed later this year. The agency also is providing public relations and media placement for the account.
