Seidel O’Neil Recruits Browne

Seidel O’Neil Advertising partners Howard Seidel and D.J. O’Neil recently expanded the upper tier of management at their shop with the addition of Patrick Browne as partner and director of client services. The shop has been renamed Seidel O’Neil & Partners.
Browne comes from Publicis & Hal Riney, San Francisco, where he spent seven years working in account services, almost exclusively on the agency’s Saturn account.
“I was very involved with setting up the Saturn retail network on the East Coast,” said Browne, adding that he also worked on a national level for Saturn’s regional marketing programs. Prior to joining Riney, Browne worked at Deutsch in New York on such accounts as Pontiac and Pitney Bowes.
“Patrick has proven branding experience, which we need,” said O’Neil. “Plus, bringing Patrick on board means Howard and I are free to pursue more new business.”
O’Neil said the agency plans to be “very aggressive” about securing new accounts during the next year. “We will pound the pavement,” he said.
The 3-year-old shop recently moved to new offices in San Francisco’s Chinatown district, and expanded its staff from 15 to 20. Its clients include Mobitel, 24-hour Fitness and Ross Stores. The agency also won a $3-5 million account this year from Rosemount Estate Winery in Australia.
