REDWOOD CITY, CALIF. – Sega of America has selected 11 semi-finalists from a group of 28 initial entrants in the search for an agency to handle a new $8-10-million creative/media planning assignment for the 4-10-year-old market. Chiat/Day, Venice, Calif.; DDB Needham, Robert Elen & Associates, Lord, Dentsu & Partners, all L.A.; Citron Haligman Bedecarre, incumbent Goodby, Berlin & Silverstein, Hoffman/Lewis, Mandelbaum Mooney Ashley, Young & Rubicam, all S.F.; McCann-Erickson, S.F. and Seattle; plus Hajjar/Kaufman, Marina del Rey, Calif., made the cut. Sega will visit the semi-finalists through September, and select four to six finalists, who will make presentations at the end of October.
